Cayley color graphs of inverse semigroups and groupoids

The notion of Cayley color graphs of groups is generalized to inverse semigroups and groupoids. The set of partial automorphisms of the Cayley color graph of an inverse semigroup or a groupoid is isomorphic to the original inverse semigroup or groupoid. The groupoid of color permuting partial automorphisms of the Cayley color graph of a transitive groupoid is isomorphic to the original groupoid.     

Sub-semigroups determined by the zero-divisor graph

In this paper we study sub-semigroups of a finite or an infinite zero-divisor semigroup S determined by properties of the zero-divisor graph Γ(S). We use these sub-semigroups to study the correspondence between zero-divisor semigroups and zero-divisor graphs. In particular, we discover a class of sub-semigroups of reduced semigroups and we study properties of sub-semigroups of finite or infinite semilattices with the least element. As an application, we provide a characterization of the graphs which are zero-divisor graphs of Boolean rings. We also study how local property of Γ(S) affects global property of the semigroup S, and we discover some interesting applications. In particular, we find that no finite or infinite two-star graph has a corresponding nil semigroup.     

Modified quasi-reversibility method for final value problems in Banach spaces

This paper is concerned with the final value problem associated with a linear operator A in a Banach space, where −A is the generator of a uniformly bounded analytic semigroup. Based on the deLaubenfels' functional calculus, we use new quasi-reversibility method, introduced by Boussetila and Rebbani recently, to form an approximate problem. We obtain some results in a Banach space similar to those in a Hilbert space.     

Existence of the non-primitive Weierstrass gap sequences on curves of genus 8

We show that for any possible Weierstrass gap sequence L on a non-singular curve of genus 8 with twice the smallest positive non-gap is less than the largest gap there exists a pointed non-singular curve (C, P) over an algebraically closed field of characteristic 0 such that the Weierstrass gap sequence at P is L. Dissipative operators and additive perturbations in locally convex spaces

Let be a densely defined operator on a Banach space X. Characterizations of when generates a C₀‐semigroup on X are known. The famous result of Lumer and Phillips states that it is so if and only if is dissipative and is dense in X for some . There exists also a rich amount of Banach space results concerning perturbations of dissipative operators. In a recent paper Tyran–Kamińska provides perturbation criteria of dissipative operators in terms of ergodic properties. These results, and others, are shown to remain valid in the setting of general non–normable locally convex spaces. Applications of the results to concrete examples of operators on function spaces are also presented.
